Thermostatic valves

The thermostatic valve is a device which regulates water flow to the radiator and is set up for thermostatic command. The ring nut with control rod can be replaced and inspected with the system running. IVAR valves are supplied in all figures with a protective cap in place of the control or with a manual head. The pipe connection can be female or male, while for the radiator connection you can choose between standard tapered seal, pipe union with O-ring or the respective versions with 3/8’’ thread (for DN 15 valves).

Two categories are available: standard valves and valves with pre-adjustment of flow rate.

Standard valves
Standard valves are characterised by a valve plug which moves under the effect of the action of the thermostatic head. Flow rate cannot be pre-adjusted with standard valves. This is entrusted to the lockshield installed at the radiator outlet. Several IVAR systems with standard thermostatic valves have the Keymark EN 215 and therefore are acknowledged as low thermal inertia systems. Protective cap colour: white

Valves with flow rate pre-regulation
Valves with flow rate regulation, aside from the valve plug, have a selector with six different calibrated holes offering different hydraulic resistances to the passage of water depending on the design features and the position of the radiator in the circuit.
The selector is available in two versions:
- “N” series: Kv 0.1-0.6. Protective cap colour: black
- “F” series: Kv 0.045-0.32. Protective cap colour: red.

Several IVAR systems with “N” series thermostatic valves with flow rate pre-regulation have the Keymark EN 215 and therefore are acknowledged as low thermal inertia systems.
